Best arancini and Sicilian sweets ever!

We stopped by this cute place on the main street in the center of the torn of Santa Marina in Salina and had Arancino Alla Siciliana (made with a light pesto of olives and capers from Salina island); a cassatella Di Agira and a cannolo di ricotta: oh my GOD!!!!! I am Italian and in never ever had arancini this good...never had cannoli with a sheep ricotta this fresh and I just loved the cassatella Di Agira (I tried this for the first time): amazing! Don’t miss this place if you are in town. Very inexpensive too!!!! They make everything there! Owners are very kind and proud of the products they offer.

A "must" if you are in Salina and want local food to take away

This place is exactly what you are looking for if you want true Sicilian food to take away. After a 5 hour hike to Monte Fossa we arrived at the village and found that many places were closed or closing. This is how we discovered the place where we had lunch for the following 3 days. It is the kind of place that has so many good things to choose that it makes it really hard to decide. It is run by a friendly young lady and her mother. They prepare amazing arancinis, parmigiana, pizza, pasta, salads, caponata... and much more dishes prepared to serve directly. You can eat in one of the 3 small tables that they have or take away. We got a selection of different dishes for less than 10 euros per person and walked to the beach and had one of the best meals of my 2 week stay in Sicily. If you still have space for a dessert, you find yourself with the same problem. What do you choose? High quality canoli, a wide variety of amazing cakes or other local delicatessen?
